Jon Kihlman has a doctor’s degree in Trade Law from the Stockholm School of Economics and is a member of the Swedish Bar Association. In his thesis – Fel – he discusses what in e.g. CISG is referred to as lack of conformity or non-conformity, primarily in goods, but generally in all objects of a contract. He has also written the textbook Köprätten – En introduktion (Sales law – An introduction) and numerous articles, most of which deal with different aspects of Contract Law, including Public Procurement. Almost all the articles – most of them are only in Swedish – are available under the heading “Artiklar”. Articles in English are also available under “Articles” on the left side of this page.
Jon Kihlman has taught Contract Law for the business community and at universities for more than 20 years, primarily in Sweden but also abroad. His teaching in International Trade Law is primarily based on CISG and Unidroit Principles.
In his work as attorney, Jon Kihlman assists clients with single contracts as well as templates or general terms and with litigation concerning contracts and public procurement. Work with templates and general conditions regularly benefit from being combined with education of the people – primarily sellers and purchasers – who will use them.
Jon Kihlman’s clients are both Swedish and foreign. They range from large corporations to small companies and physical persons.
